About this Project

HORTENSIAS is an interactive story about life and loss.

It is a narrative mobile game that centers on real conversations between my mother, my grandmother, and me, reflecting on our memories of my late great-grandmother. 

It’s a nonlinear story woven together through a series of upbeat and melancholic mini-games and comic strips that let you play through our memories. 

Sew, bake, and stuff a turkey in a drying machine, and interact with dozens of hand-drawn objects while listening to heartfelt and funny conversations set in my hometown, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
